The Short Story:Â Trailing by just four points at halftime, North Florida men's basketball saw a physical Iowa squad use an opening run in the second half to grab the momentum and the game in an 83-68 battle in the opening game of the Continental Tires Las Vegas Invitational.

Our guys competed and gave ourselves some opportunities early, but in the second half I felt like their want-to was much greater than ours. I thought they just took control of the game until they got it to a comfortable position. To our guys credit we made a closing charge but I'm not into that or about a moral win. Moving forward, we have to do a better job on the glass and we have to play tougher and stronger even when opponent's are big and strong like Iowa was." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
