Ospreys Drop Tight One To Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Fla. – The North Florida Baseball team battled to the final out but came up just short against cross-town rival Jacksonville in the second round of the ASUN Tournament falling 4-3 on Thursday night at Harmon Stadium.
LEADING OFF
- The Ospreys had nine hits in the contest led by Jay Prather with a pair of base knocks, while seven other North Florida guys added hits.Â
- Chris Berry, Blake Voyles and Raff Libunao picked up the RBI's for the Ospreys.Â
- With his sixth inning single, Mac Wilson extended his on-base streak to a team-high 14 games in a row and also has a six game hit streak as well.
- Voyles has reached base safely in 12 games in a row. He is hitting .500 (4-for-8) in the tournament with three runs driven in.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Dolphins struck first with an RBI single in the first inning to make it 1-0.
- UNF came back quickly in the third inning with a pair of RBI singles by Berry and Voyles to give the Ospreys a 2-1 lead.Â
- The Dolphins answered quickly with a sacrifice fly to left to tie the game at two apiece.
- In the fifth, JU retook the lead with an RBI single to make it 3-2.
- Jacksonville tacked on one more in the bottom of the eighth to take a 4-2 advantage.
- The Ospreys threatened in the ninth with an RBI double from Libunao to make it 4-3 but UNF would not get any closer and fall in Thursday night's contest.
