JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida baseball team opened ASUN play with an 8-2 win over Jacksonville in game one of the River City Rumble on Thursday night at John Sessions Stadium.
LEADING OFF
- Eight of the nine Ospreys got in the hit column with five players registering multi-hit contests.
- Dalton Board paced UNF with his second three-hit game of the season, while knocking in a pair of runs.
- Rey Gonzalez and Alex Reynolds both added three-hit games, while Blake Voyles and Jay Prather registered a pair.
- UNF had five doubles in the contest, one off the season-high set against Southern Illinois on February 25.
- Board and Alex Reynolds have both reached base in 15-straight games.
- Frank German improved to 4-1 as he went six innings and struck out eight Dolphins, while allowing just one earned run.
- The 16 North Florida hits were two shy of the season-best.

- The Ospreys jumped out to a quick lead with back-to-back doubles as Voyles hit gave UNF a 1-0 lead.
- The UNF offensive power continued in the fourth as Gonzalez tallied an RBI single.
- Later in the inning, Board gave the Ospreys a 4-0 lead with a two-run double.
- The Dolphins recorded a run in the fourth with an infield single to make it 4-1.
- In the seventh, Prather knocked an RBI single to score Board before Gonzalez's RBI double gave UNF a 6-1 advantage.
- JU got its final run in the bottom of the seventh before UNF added a pair of runs in the ninth to give the Ospreys an 8-2 victory.
