JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida baseball team fell to Jacksonville, 7-2, on Friday night at John Sessions Stadium in ASUN play.Â
LEADING OFF
- Tanner Murphy paced the Ospreys offense with a pair of solo homers to provide the lone offense.
- It marked the second straight weekend that Murphy had a two homer game as he did it last weekend against FAMU.
- Murphy extended his hit streak to six with the two homers.Â
- Jay Prather has reached base safely in 14 straight games, while Blake Voyles extended his streak to six in a row.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- JU got on the board first in the third with an RBI single.
- Tanner Murphy responds with solo homer to left to tie the game at one apiece.
- The Dolphins though quickly responded with a three-run double in the fourth before tacking on three in the fifth to take a lead they would not relinquish.
- Murphy in the ninth would go yard one more time down the left field line to make it a 7-2 game which would be the final.Â
