TROY, Ala. - North Florida women's tennis outlasted ULM on Saturday afternoon for a 4-3 win at Troy University.Â
QUICK HITS
- Ospreys opened with the doubles point after senior Luise Intert and junior Rafaela Gomez clinched with a 6-4 win in the No. 1 doubles position. Gomez and Intert are 5-0 in doubles play so far this spring.
- Sophomore Lucia Montano and freshman Florencia Rossi grabbed a 6-3 win in the No. 3 doubles position to help UNF get a 1-0 lead.
- After going down 3-1 in the match the Ospreys climbed back in when Eva Nyikos battled from a set down to win her match, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
- Rossi needed a second set tiebreak, but was able to pick up a 10-5 win in her match to tie it up at 3-all.Â
- Intert much like Rossi needed a second set tiebreak, but was able to dominate 10-1 to lead UNF to a 4-3 victory.
