Matzko Fans Seven in Loss to South Alabama

Longwood, Fla. – North Florida softball junior Sydney Matzko fanned seven batters, but the Osprey offense could not muster a run as South Alabama won, 1-0, on the final day of the Friends of Jaclyn Invitational.

- Matzko had another great day in the circle as she surrendered just four hits, while striking out seven.
GAME CAPSULES
- Just three Ospreys made it into scoring position thanks to the solid pitching performance from South Alabama's Devin Brown who scattered four hits in the contest, while striking out 11.
- UNF had its best chance in the fourth when Cocuzza got to third base following a one-out double, but Brown got the strikeout to get out of it.
- South Alabama got its lone run in the fifth inning off of an RBI single to give the Jags  a 1-0 victory
