- North Florida opened its spring season with three straight wins over the weekend. The Ospreys grabbed the doubles point in all three matches and continued to the momentum into singles play.
- Junior Rafaela Gomez went undefeated over the weekend with two wins in No. 1 singles as well as two in the No. 2 doubles slot with Luise Intert.
- Lucia Montaño also grabbed two singles victories with wins in the No. 4 position, while going 3-0 in doubles across No. 2 and No. 3 with Florencia Rossi.
- Valentina Mariotto competed for the first time at the collegiate level and helped UNF come from behind to take a win against Middle Tennessee. She was down in set one and came back to shut out her opponent in the second and third sets to help grab the win.
OPPONENT NOTES
Flagler
- Flagler is still competing in exhibition matches and are coming off a fall where just three of its players competed.
- Lizanne Jinkertz posted seven wins in the fall, while pairing up with Paloma Martinez in doubles for two wins.
- The Saints are comprised of four true freshman, one redshirt and two upperclassmen.
- The team finished 20-5 last season and made an appearance in the Division II Southeast Regional second round.
