ORLANDO -- The North Florida women's golf team looks to continue its strong season of play when the Ospreys tee off in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship tournament beginning Sunday at Reunion Golf Resort.

In just its fourth season of existence, UNF is looking to build upon its progam-best runnerup finish a year ago in the ASun Championship at Reunion. This season the Ospreys have posted eight Top 10 showings including three Top 5 finishes this spring highlighted by the program's first team tournament title in February at the Amelia Island Collegiate. UNF enters the Atlantic Sun Championship as the highest ranked team in the Golfstat Listing, ranking 96th in the nation.

The lineup for the Ospreys will be the same group as last season featuring three seniors and two juniors. Senior Mary Dawson tops the squad with a 74.88 stroke average and will be joined by fellow seniors Emelie Alpe and Kelly Aylwin, who claimed ASun Golfer of the Week honors on Thursday. Juniors Megan Wilshire and Nathalie Nygren round out the UNF squad.

The Atlantic Sun Championship is a three-day, 54-hole event featuring a field of all seven women's golf teams in the league. Live scoring results for the event will be available online at Golfstat.com.
