
@OspreyMGolf Close Regular Season Slate at Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- The No.34-ranked North Florida men's golf team wraps up its regular season tournament schedule Saturday and Sunday in the Irish Creek Collegiate played at The Club at Irish Creek (Par 71/7,099 yards).
The Ospreys are looking to round into top form in preparation for the upcoming Atlantic Sun Conference Championships. UNF finished runner-up last year at Irish Creek with current senior Taylor Hancock sharing medalist honors. The event features a 16-team field that includes five teams ranked in the Top 50 nationally.The 54-hole competition is scheduled for 36 holes of play Saturday and a final round of 18 holes on Sunday with both days utlizing shotgun starts.
"We are looking forward to competing at Irish Creek," said head coach Scott Schroeder. "The course is a good test and the weather this weekend should be really tough. It will provide a great mental challenge for the guys."
Hancock leads a UNF lineup that also consists of sophomore Jordan Batchelor and the freshman trio of Andrew Alligood, Philip Knowles and Travis Trace.
Joining the Ospreys and tournament co-hosts Davidson and Charlotte in the field are No. 6 Florida State, No. 14 Wake Forest, No. 24 North Carolina, No. 48 East Carolina, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, James Madison, VCU, Kennensaw State, Darmouth, Applachian State, Akron and Mercer.
North Florida will be paired on day one with ECU and UNCG starting on holes 4-6. Live scoring is available online at Golfstat.com.
