SIESTA KEY, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball extended its winning streak to nine with a shutout of UAB, 5-0, before taking down College of Charleston 4-1 on Friday afternoon.

UNF is now 18-3 on the season, matching its win record from the 2014 season. The Ospreys continue their trek at the Fiesta on Siesta against South Carolina and No. 3 Florida State.

In the first dual of the day, the Ospreys swept the Blazers with three courts going to three sets. Ambre Desaulnay and Chaney Howard grabbed the victory at No. 4 before Carina Hoff and Brittany Pase bounced back from a first-set loss to take the next two and the win.

With the 2-0 lead, Courtney Miller and Katerina Raicevic added to it with a 21-14, 21-18 win at the No. 3 spot. The No. 2 court of Lauren Ford and Kimberly Ferguson then took a three-set victory for the 4-0 lead. The No. 1 duo of Jessalyn Kinlaw and Megan Crawshaw battled it out against Sara Rishell and Chelsi Carter as each set was tightly matched, but the Ospreys took the sweep with a 22-20, 18-21, 20-18 victory, snapping a six-game win streak for UAB.

North Florida followed suit in the afternoon, with Desaulnay and Howard winning, 21-19 and then cruising to a 21-6 win to get things started right. The Cougars tied the match up with a win in the No. 5 spot. The Ospreys took back the lead with victories from all of the upper courts in straight sets.
