Personal Bests Highlight Women's Track Showing at Tom Jones Memorial

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Megan Walker and Hallie Grimes both recorded personal bests and conference leading marks Friday in leading the North Florida women's track and field performances in the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational meet at UF's Percy Beard Track.

Walker eclipsed her personal best height in the pole vault by 5 1/2 inches to finish second in the event with a mark of 12-11.50 (3.95m), while Grimes raced to a personal best 55.71 in the 400m. The UNF duos performances marked the best in their event in the Atlantic Sun this season.

North Florida also saw strong showings by high jumpers Alyssa Young and Alexandra Ellis.
