JACKSONVILLE -- The North Florida Track & Field teams will host the first of three home events in the month of May on Wednesday when the Ospreys host the one-day UNF Twilight meet at Hodges Stadium. Field events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. while running events will start at 4:30 p.m.
"This will serve as the final tune up before the ASUN Championships," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "Final exams are finished and we are back to a normal routine with workouts and things are going very well. The teams have adjusted to the extremely hot conditions and we are ready to compete. With over 500 athletes scheduled to compete including some Olympic hopefuls, it will be a nice meet."Â
The Ospreys are looking to get in one final competition before turning their attention to upcoming postseason events. UNF will host the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships next week (May 13-14) before closing out the month by hosting the NCAA East Preliminary on May 26-28.
Admissiion for the North Florida Twilight is free and open to the public. Live event results will be available online at Halfmiletiming.com.
