Two Event Titles Cap Women's Track Performances at Spikes Classic

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Tianna Hearn and Tayler Johnson claimed a pair of event titles Saturday to wrap up a solid weekend of competition at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic for the North Florida women's track and field program.

Hearn earned the top finish in the 400m Hurdles by racing to a time of 1:03.73, while Johnson won the 800m in a time of 2:17.65. Johnson's showing led a pack of Ospreys in the event with UNF runners placing in six of the top 10 spots.

The women's track and field team will take a weekend off from competition before returning to the track at a pair of events on Apr. 15-17. UNF will send athletes to both the Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee (Apr. 15-16) and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. (Apr. 16-17).
