@OspreySB Faces JU in Pivotal River City Rumble Series

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team travels to their cross-town rival Jacksonville for a three-game conference series this Saturday and Sunday.

The Ospreys (17-21, 5-4 A-Sun) are in a three-way tie for the top spot in the Atlantic Sun standings, while the Dolphins (20-24, 2-7 A-Sun) are currently seventh and will look to get back into contention for a spot in the postseason tournament.

North Florida holds the all-time series lead against the Dolphins with a 17-6 record, and have won nine straight games against Jacksonville over the last three seasons.

Senior Shelby Duncan and freshman Navia Penrod lead the Ospreys' lineup, Duncan leads the team in batting average (.358) and doubles (15), Duncan leads the conference in doubles and ranks sixth in batting. Penrod leads the team in stolen bases (17), good for ninth in the conference, and her batting average of .339 is good for second on the team and 11th in the conference.

The Ospreys' pitching staff features junior Logan Green, who has been the workhorse for North Florida this season. Green leads the team and ranks third in the conference in innings pitched (133.0). Green's 3.63 ERA ranks first on the team and 11th in the conference.
