Match Summary
The Ospreys had Stetson on the ropes all night but surrendered the game-tying goal in the 76th minute and eventually the game-winner in the opening minutes of the first overtime. Stetson junior Sarah Collins is now second in the ASUN in goals, scoring twice, her ninth and 10th of the season. Eduarda Pavao, who assisted on the first Stetson goal netted the game-winner, her second score of the season, to win the game for the Hatters.
Â
North Florida took the game's initial lead when Tori Hamel tallied her first collegiate goal in the eighth minute on a Colubiale pass from the end line. After Collins knotted the game up at one five minutes later, sophomore Krista Colubiale headed in a go-ahead score in the 28th minute. Junior Sarah Wasser delivered her second assist of the night and her sixth of the season, a new program D-1 era single season record. Colubiale was credited with her fifth score of the season and is now in a three-way tie for the team lead.

Additional Game Notes
-Jacksonville University lost to FGCU, 2-0 which would have given the Ospreys a spot in the postseason had they won. The Ospreys will need a win or a tie next week to guarantee a spot in the ASUN Tournament. No matter what the Osprey result next week, a Jacksonville loss or tie against Stetson next week also clinches a playoff berth.
-The Hatters took a 7-6 lead in the all-time series and earned retribution for last year's 2-1 loss at Hodges Stadium.
-The two teams endured a 1 hour, five-minute delay due to a campus power outage at the beginning of the match.
-Coming into the match, Stetson hadn't allowed a goal in the month of October a span of 277 minutes. The Osprey scored two in the first 28 minutes of the game.
-Senior goalkeeper Victoria Ekeli made a game-high eight saves in net for the Ospreys.
-Stetson held a 21-16 shot advantage for the game, including a 13-8 edge in the second half.
Â
Up Next: The Ospreys will conclude their 2016 regular season at home next Saturday night when they host FGCU (4-0-1 ASUN). Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Hodges Stadium.
