MACON, Ga. -- The North Florida sand volleyball team outlasted both Florida Gulf Coast and Mercer for a pair of 3-2 victories in Atlantic Sun Conference action on Saturday at Mercer's Sand Volleyball Complex.
The Ospreys (8-6, 3-1 ASun) rebounded from a dual match split on Friday to earn the dual sweep in the rematches.
In the opening match of the day against FGCU, UNF claimed wins at the Nos 2-4 spots  led by straight set victories from Tessa Alyman/Tanner Garbutt (#2) and Ambre Desaulnay/Jess Kinlaw (#3). Julie Trembley and Kimberly Ferguson claimed the decisive point with a three-set victory.
After falling to Mercer on Friday, North Florida turned the tables on the Bears winning the match by claiming pairs wins at No. 1, 4 and 5. Top tandem Cameron McGuire and Cari Whitmire edged MU's top pair in three sets including a 15-13 decision in the final frame. Ebony Gunn and Emily Davanzo earned a tight straight-set win at No. 5, while Trembley and Ferguson again earned the deciding point with a second three-set thriller.
North Florida will continue Atlantic Sun Conference play on Wednesday, Apr. 1 with a pair of dual matches at Stetson.
