JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the last time this season, University of North Florida women's basketball plays on its home court when the Ospreys welcome Atlantic Sun leader No. 21/22 Florida Gulf Coast to UNF Arena for a Wednesday night contest. It will also mark the final home game for seniors Destinee Smith, Brittney Wright and Paulina Zaveckaite. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., and the game will air live on ESPN3 with Brent Martineau and Jessica Blaylock on the call.

"We are glad to be home and want to send our three seniors out in style," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "We are hosting the Atlantic Sun Regular Season Champions tomorrow night. I know our seniors love the challenge and will continue to lead the team to do our best and compete for 40 minutes."

The Ospreys finished up their last out-of-Florida road trip for the regular season last weekend, picking up a win at Lipscomb last Thursday, but falling to Northern Kentucky on Saturday. Zaveckaite tallied a double-double in each game and has now registered a double-double in four of the last five games.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for Youth 17-under, Senior Citizens, Military, and UNF Faculty/Staff with proper ID. Admission for UNF students with a valid Osprey1 Card and children 2-and-under is free. The Home Finale: UNF is 15-7 all-time in its last home game of the season and won last year's home finale 50-46 against Kennesaw State on Mar. 8, 2014. However, this is the first time the Ospreys end its home schedule against Florida Gulf Coast.

Hosting a Ranked Team: For the first time since the 2008-09 season, UNF will host a nationally-ranked opponent on Wednesday night. The last nationally-ranked team the Ospreys welcomed to UNF Arena was No. 21/24 Florida State on Nov. 18, 2008.

PZ the Rebounder and the Three-Point Shooter?: Senior Paulina Zaveckaite leads the Atlantic Sun with 11.9 rebounds per game, which ranks eighth in the NCAA, and is primarily known for her inside game. However, Zaveckaite has sank a three-pointer in the last three contests.

Scouting Florida Gulf Coast: Enters Wednesday with a 25-2 overall record and 12-0 in Atlantic Sun play… clinched the Atlantic Sun Regular Season Championship with last Saturday's win over USC Upstate… has won its last 20 games… only losses thus far were at Auburn (Nov. 20) and against Ohio State (Nov. 29)… leads the Atlantic Sun in most categories and averages 10.0 three-point field goals made per game, which is third in the nation… has three players averaging double-figures in Whitney Knight (15.6 points per game), Kaneisha Atwater (13.7) and Stephanie Haas (10.1)… Knight also leads the team with 6.4 rebounds per game and has 69 blocks for the season.
