JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida baseball team will return home on Tuesday night to take on Georgia Southern and travel to Savannah State on Wednesday night in a pair of non-conference games this week.

Tuesday night's game against Georgia Southern will be broadcasted live on A-Sun TV. Robert Harper, the voice of the Ospreys, will have the call on 1010XL as well on Tuesday night. About Georgia Southern: The Eagles are coming off a three-win week including a 14-5 upset win over #13 Clemson last Tuesday. The Tigers came back and edged the Eagles on Wednesday, 5-4 to split the two-game series. Georgia Southern went on to take two out of three from Appalachian State in their second Southern Conference series of the season. The Eagles come into Tuesday's game ranked No. 1 in the country with 34 home runs.

Last Time Out Against the Eagles: The high-powered Eagles offense was on display as Georgia Southern won 13-1 in Statesboro. The Eagles hit three home runs and collected 12 hits on the night. Right fielder Aaron Mizell hit two homers and drove in four runs for the Eagles.

About Savannah State: The Ospreys will meet the Tigers for the second time in as many weeks on Wednesday. Savannah State lost two out of three to North Carolina A&T State University over the weekend in the third Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference series of the year. The Tigers have dropped six of their last seven games, with five of the losses coming by one run or less.

Last Time out Against the Tigers: A commanding lead in the late innings almost slipped away for the Ospreys in last week's 8-7 win over the Tigers. North Florida took a five-run lead into the final three innings and surrendered four unearned runs in the ninth in the eventual win.

Northern Kentucky Recap: In the first ever trip to the state of Kentucky, the Ospreys took two out of three games from the Norse this past weekend. North Florida racked up 47 hits in three games, including an 18-hit performance in Friday's 14-4 win. Northern Kentucky captured its first ever win against North Florida, squeaking out an 8-6 victory on Saturday afternoon. Behind a complete game from Corbin Olmstead, the Ospreys captured the series with an 8-1 win on Sunday.

Among the Nation's Elite: After another stellar week at the plate Weeks is second in the entire country with 42 hits. He comes into this week ranked fifth in batting average. He also is tops in the Atlantic Sun with a .514 on-base percentage
What a Weeks: Junior Drew Weeks was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. In five games, Weeks was 11-for-20 (.550) and collected multiple hits in all but one game. He added four RBIs, two stolen bases and his first triple of the season. He hit .617 in the weekend series against Northern Kentucky with a slugging percentage of .700.

Round and Round: Sophomore Kyle Brooks scored four runs in Sunday's series finale against Northern Kentucky. The four runs in a single game is tied for the most in North Florida's Division I era. The last player to score four runs in a game was Tyler Marincov who touched the plate four times against USC Upstate on May 16, 2013.

Top 25 Offense: The Ospreys have hit the ball well of late, upping their team average to .304 on the season and now rank 22^nd in the country. North Florida has a total of 252 hits this year which ranks 20^th in all of college baseball.

Starts at the Top: Since moving to the lead-off spot last week, Corbin Olmstead is hitting a staggering .421. and boasts a .789 slugging percentage. The Ospreys are 3-1 with him at the top of the lineup. He has eight hits, eight runs and two home runs in four games in the lead-off spot.
