KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—The University of North Florida swimming and diving team sits in eighth-place, with 89 points, after the second day of competition at the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association at the University of Tennessee's Allan Jones Aquatic Center.

Amy Taylor opened the day with a 16th place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:04.60. Bridget Woods followed up a 200-yard individual medley time of 2:06.02 putting her in 14th. North Florida quartet of Mariana de Paula, Rebeca Bernard, Eva Porter and Natalie McCallum placed eighth in the 200-yard freestyle relay posting a time of 1:36.93.

In diving, the Ospreys placed four of their five divers in the 1-meter diving competition. Morgan Whittle was the Ospreys top diver finishing in 12th place with 231.05 points, followed by Fernanda Robles in 13th with 229.95 points. Monica Rice with 222.35 points and Chelsea Chandler with 216.05 points finished in 14th and 16th place, respectively.

In overall results, Liberty University continues to lead with 264 points, followed by Florida Gulf Coast with 238 points in second-place. The University of the Incarnate Word (154), Georgia Southern (147) and Davidson College (134) sit in third-,fourth- and fifth-place, respectively. Gardner-Webb with 105 and Campbell with 100, round out the top seven, respectively.

Competition continues tomorrow at 10 a.m., with the 400-yard individual medley relay, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and the 400-yard medley relay preliminaries and finals.
