NASHVILLE, Tenn. – University of North Florida women's basketball concludes its six-game road trek on Saturday as the Ospreys visit Tennessee State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., EST from the Gentry Center.

"This has been a challenging stretch of games, but it has proven the type of team that we can be and what we need to do to reach our potential," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "Tennessee State presents another opportunity for us to see a different style of play. They have faced some tough teams already this season and have proven they can score on any given night. We're looking forward to Saturday night's test."

UNF has gone 2-3 thus far during the Ospreys' road swing. Both victories came during last weekend's UNCW Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Classic as UNF defeated both host UNC Wilmington and Preseason WNIT participate Eastern Kentucky.

The Ospreys come off a 60-56 setback at UCF on Tuesday. Paulina Zaveckaite led the Ospreys with a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, which was her second double-double of the year.

A Couple of Streaks: Both seniors Destinee Smith and Paulina Zaveckaite enter Saturday's game on a pair of streaks. Smith is on a five-game double-digit point streak, while Zaveckaite has pulled down 10+ rebounds in the last three games.

Music City Bound: This weekend is the first of two visits to Nashville for the Ospreys this season. UNF returns to Nashville for an Atlantic Sun Conference game at Lipscomb on February 19.

Scouting Tennessee State: Has a 1-5 record entering this weekend… finishes a three-game homestand on Saturday… fell to Norfolk State and Youngstown State during its own Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic last weekend… is 1-1 against Atlantic Sun teams already this season, falling to Kennesaw State, but defeating Lipscomb… has tallied 55-or-more points in five of six games with the only game with less than 55 points being at then-No. 4 Tennessee… Chelsea Hudson averages 14.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game… Briana Morrow averages 8.5 rebounds per game.
