Sand Volleyball Faces Rival JU for ASun Crown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The defending Atlantic Sun Conference champion North Florida Sand Volleyball team travels across town Wednesday for a pair of matches against rival Jacksonville to decide the 2013 conference championship.
The Ospreys (11-2) are a perfect 6-0 in conference matches this season while the Dolphins (5-13) bring a 4-2 mark into the matchup, which is also a part of the annual River City Rumble competition betweent the two athletic programs. The matches are scheduled for 2 and 4 p.m. at the JU Sand Courts.
UNF has already claimed a share of the 2013 regular season title but would hold sole possession of the crown with a victory in one of the two dual matches.
Osprey Nation has organized a caravan for fans wanting to attend Wednesday's contest at JU, with plans calling to depart the UNF campus at 1:30 p.m. from Lot 18 just behind the Harmon Stadium (baseball).
Following the JU match, North Florida will conclude the regular season with the Fiesta on Siesta competition this weekend in Siesta Key, Fla. The Ospreys will then participate in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on Apr. 20-21 at the JU Sand Courts.
