Sand Volleyball Win Streak Halted at UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The North Florida Sand Volleyball team saw a nine match win streak end Saturday afternoon with a tough 3-2 loss at UAB.

Three of the five pair's contest were three-set thrillers with the Ospreys (10-2) earning wins in two of the three. Unfortunately, the Blazers (10-5) claimed the other and also posted a pair of straight set victories to get the match win.

UNF's victories came from Cari Whitmire/Carolyn Jenkins at No. 2 and Julie Trembley/Britt Claessens at No. 4. Trembley/Claessens remained undefeated on the season improving to 14-0 despite dropping their first set of the year.

UAB captured wins at the No. 1, 3 and 5 spots.

The Ospreys and Blazers play a second match Sunday at 12 p.m. (CT)
