Ospreys Conclude Play at JMU Women's Golf Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida women's golf team concluded a busy week of competition with a 16th place finish Sunday at the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational.
The Ospreys, who played two 54-hole events this week, shot a final round 314 en route to finishing with a tournament total of 936. Freshman Emelie Alpe was the squad's top performer earning a tie for 43rd at 231.
Freshman Kelly Aylwin carded UNF's low round of the event on Sunday firing a two-over-par 74 on her way to a tie for 58th (235).
The rest of the Osprey lineup for the JMU Invitational included freshman Mary Rodgers tied for 70th (237), junior Kelly Miller tied for 76th (239) and freshman Tess Huber tied for 80th (240). Freshmen Belinda George (T-72nd/238) and Victoria Pitenis (86th/242) participated in the event as individuals.
Campbell captured the team title with a three-day score of 870 with Mississippi State rallying on the final day to claim runner-up honors at 891. East Carolina (897), host James Madison (903), ETSU (904) and Chattanooga (904) rounded out the top five squads. ECU's F. Gustafsson Spang was the individual medalist with a three-round tally of 212 (-4)
