GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Sophomore Tess Huber matched her career low tournament total Tuesday as the top performer for the North Florida women's golf team at the Starmount Fall Classic.
Huber finished with a 54-hole score of 221 (+8) capped by a final round 73 (+2) to finish tied for 13th. The Ospreys earned a 14th-place finish in the event tallying a three-round 936, including a 313 on the last day.
Sophomore Emelie Alpe posted an 83 on Tuesday to finish tied for 48th (235) while freshman Lauren Coe was 58th at 237 after her final round 79. Sophomore Kelly Aylwin carded her best round of the tournament, 78, to finish 77th (246), and sophomore Belinda George rounded out the UNF lineup in 81st at 251.
Chattanooga claimed the team championship with a score of 876, edging Campbell (878) by two shots. Maryland finished third at 884 followed by Western Carolina (898) and High Point (900) in the top five.
The Lady Mocs' Agathe Sauzon captured the individual medalist crown at 210 (-3), marking the lone player under par for the event.
North Florida makes a quick turnaround as the Ospreys will play in the LPGA Xavier Invitational on Oct. 5-7 in Daytona, Fla.
