Scouting the Opposition:
Bethune-Cookman: Bethune-Cookman enters the week coming off of a three-game sweep of Savannah State. BCU won the final game of the series 10-1. The Wildcats crept along offensively in the opening frames, but Savannah State couldn't hold the 'Cats for long, as B-CU erupted in the third to set off consecutive scoring innings, making the most of what the Tigers were giving.
Florida A&M: The FAMU Rattlers avoided laying an egg in North Carolina, defeating the North Carolina A&T Aggies, 7-5, in MEAC action at War Memorial Stadium. FAMU got off to a hot start in the first, scoring three runs and shutting out the Aggies. No additional runs would be scored by either team until the fifth inning, where FAMU got two runs and NCAT got their first run of the game. The sixth and seventh innings would be scoreless, but FAMU got two more runs in the eighth, while NCAT plated three. The Rattlers would go down without a score in the top of the ninth. The Aggies would score one run in the ninth, but Franklin would close out the game, cutting the rally short.
