NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A four-game road swing ends for the University of North Florida women's basketball team on Saturday against Lipscomb at Allen Arena at 5 p.m. (EST).
Entering Saturday with a 2-1 record on this road swing, UNF will have a chance at sweeping the regular season series on Thursday. The Ospreys held off Lipscomb 77-67 at UNF Arena on Jan. 4 with Brittany Kirkland (21 points), Jadhken Kerr (18) and Octavia Langston (10) all scoring in double figures. However, UNF will have to bounce back after suffering a 57-35 setback at Belmont on Thursday night.
On Thursday night, Lipscomb snapped a seven-game losing skid with a 68-64 win against Jacksonville. The Lady Bison avenged an earlier season loss to the Dolphins by forcing turnovers, dominating on rebounds and having four players with double-digit points. For the season, though, Hannah Phillips (12.6 ppg) and Ana Bowers (12.4 ppg) continue to lead the Lady Bison in scoring. Phillips also leads the team in rebounds (5.1 rpg), assists (53) and steals (37).
UNF has won the last five games in the series and carries an 11-1 advantage in the all-time series.
