Baseball Travels to Campbell for ASun Series

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The University of North Florida baseball team continues play in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a three-game series with Campbell at Taylor Field in Buies Creek, N.C. The series begins on Friday, April 8, with a single game at 6:00 p.m. The series concludes with a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.

The series begins on Friday, April 8, with a single game at 6:00 p.m. The series concludes with a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
North Florida enters the weekend with a 17-13 overall record and an 8-7 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference, while Campbell is 14-18 with a 1-11 mark in the conference.
The Ospreys are 16-3 all-time against the Camels. UNF holds a 6-0 mark against Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C.
Last season, North Florida claimed the series with Campbell, 2-1. The Ospreys won the opener, 7-5. In the doubleheader, UNF dropped a 10-4 decision before claiming the series with a 5-4 victory.
The Ospreys enter the game on a three-game winning streak, claiming a three-game A-Sun Conference series on the road against Lipscomb and adding a midweek victory at home. After dropping the first game of the series with the Bisons, 4-2, North Florida used a pair of eighth inning rallies to win 6-4 and 7-5. On Tuesday, the Ospreys downed Savannah State, 13-4.
UNF enters the weekend with a 7-5 (.583) record in road games. The Ospreys won their last two road games and are currently 4-2 (.667) in Atlantic Sun Conference road games.
North Florida enters the weekend with a 1-1 (.500) record against schools from the state of North Carolina this season. UNF split a two-game midweek series with UNC Wilmington in the middle of March. The Ospreys fell 9-8 in the series opener with the Seahawks before claiming an 11-7 victory in game two.
Scouting the Opposition:
Colin Parker pitched Campbell to an 8-2 game one win while the bats propelled the Camels to a 15-1 victory in the nightcap over North Carolina Central in Wednesday's doubleheader at Durham Athletic Park.
Colin Parker picked up the win for the Camels in his first start of the season, moving to 2-1 on the year. The senior tossed a complete game in the seven inning affair, the Camels' second of the season as a unit. Parker allowed just two runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
