JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida baseball team continues Atlantic Sun Conference play over the weekend with a three-game series with Belmont at Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium. The series starts with a game on Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m. The two teams continue play on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., before concluding the three-game tilt with a game on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
All three games will be aired on the radio on WHJX Hot 105.7 FM with “The Voice of the Ospreys” Mike Ridaught announcing the play-by-play. The games will also be streamed live on ASun.TV. Live stats will be available for all games.

North Florida enters the weekend conference series with an 11-11 overall record, while Belmont is 12-10 overall. The Ospreys are 3-6 in the A-Sun, while the Bruins are even at 3-3.
The Ospreys continue home play at Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium with a three-game series with Belmont. North Florida is 6-8 (.429) overall at home this season, splitting a midweek series with FIU earlier this week. UNF claimed the first game 6-3, but fell in the second game 14-8.
North Florida and Belmont have met 15 times in school history with the Bruins holding a slight 8-7 (.533) advantage in the series. UNF is 5-2 (.714) all-time against Belmont in Jacksonville.
Last season, Belmont won the only two meetings between the two teams. The games were moved from Belmont's field across town to Lipscomb's Ken Dugan Field because of flooding in Nashville. The Ospreys and Bruins played two of the scheduled three games with Belmont winning game one, 4-1, and game two, 15-9.
The last time the two teams met in Jacksonville (2009), North Florida won the series 2-1. After dropping the opener, 8-5, the Ospreys rebounded with a 3-0 shutout and an 11-5 victory in a doubleheader to claim the series.
The series marks the second time this season that UNF has played a team from the state of Tennessee. The Ospreys are currently 0-3 against the Volunteer State, being swept earlier this season at home against East Tennessee State.
Scouting the Opposition:
Belmont baseball won its fifth straight contest on Wednesday, defeating Ouachita Baptist by a score of 11-5 in a rain shortened six inning game at Shelby Park.
Belmont was preseason picked to finish just ahead of North Florida in the preseason conference poll, finishing sixth in the voting. Pitcher Joe Ivie, outfielder Dylan Craig and designated hitter Nate Woods were named to the Preseason All-Conference Team. Woods was a unanimous decision.
