JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a week off from competition, the North Florida men's cross country returns to action Saturday at the Mountain Dew Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla. The men's 8,000 meter race is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
In the first meet of the season, the JU Short Course Duals, the Ospreys claimed the team title with a perfect score of 15 points.
Sophomore James Post led the squad that first weekend, winning the individual title. He was followed by his teammates in the 2-3-4-5 spots to tally the perfect score and take down rival Jacksonville on its home course.
The Ospreys will have some stiff competition this weekend, including one of the top SEC schools with host Florida. In addition, the men will compete against Atlantic Sun Conference foes Jacksonville, Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast. A total of 20 teams will be participating in the meet.
