In game one both team's pitchers threw five innings of scoreless ball until Mercer's four-run sixth inning. Pitcher Jenni Holtz (17-17) took the win in the first game, allowing two hits and registering six strikeouts in her complete game shutout.
Senior Devyn Findley (17-17) was helped by some solid defense, holding the Bears off the scoreboard for the first five innings.
In the bottom of the fourth inning with two outs and runners on first and second sophomore Alyson Bailey made one of her many defensive stops at the hot corner throwing out Mercer's Anna Johnson for the potential go-ahead run.
In the following inning, freshman Jackie Reese showed off her arm throwing out Stephanie Canara on an attempted steal.  Reese had a total of three base runners caught stealing in both games combined and leads the Atlantic Sun Conference with 17 runners thrown out.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Mercer was able to string together four hits and plate four runs to break open the scoreless game.  Findley gave-up four earned runs that came off of two back to back singles, followed by a walk and a hit by pitch, which gave Amanda Santa Maria the opportunity to drop a sacrifice bunt to bring home the first run of the game.  Mercer's Stacey Condra followed the first run of the afternoon with a base hit up the middle, scoring two runs and opening the game up for the Bears game one win.
Game two saw another pitching dual with a 1-1 score until Condra plated the winning run in the ninth inning off a single to left field. On the day, the senior went 2-for-6 with four RBI.
Mercer's pitcher Kari Chambers started the game for the Bears, going 2.2 innings allowing the Ospreys to score their one run of the game in the third inning.  Game one starter Jenni Holta returned to the circle in the third inning and pitched another gem for the Bears allowing no runs and one hit through 6.1 innings.
In the top of the third inning, senior Kara Rutenbar led the inning off with a walk and then was advanced by junior Caroline Torre, followed by another walk by Reese, which set the table for sophomore Shaina Dent's RBI single up the middle.
The Bears threatened in the bottom half of the inning, but Dent was aided by an inning-ending doubleplay on a blooper to left field that was snagged by ranging Stephany Hall who was able to gather her feet to throw out the Bear's runner on second.
Dent started the game for the Ospreys, tossing 3.1 innings and allowing four hits and one run. Findley came into the game in the fourth inning and continued to shutdown the opposition.  In the bottom of the sixth, the Bears threatened with a runner on third, but Findley was able to whiff Lilli Luke for the third out.
Again in the seventh, the Ospreys' defense helped save another run from scoring with sophomore Ariana Godwin, robbing Anna Johnson's two-bagger with a diving catch in left center.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Condra stepped into the batter's box with two outs and a runner on first, and hit the ball through the left side of the infield bringing home the winning run for her final game as a Bear and handing the Ospreys their seventh loss in a row.
