
No. 62 UNF to Host Crosstown Rival JU in Regular Season Finale

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's tennis team will wrap up the regular season by hosting crosstown, Atlantic Sun rival Jacksonville in a SunTrust River City Rumble Battle on Wednesday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys (17-2, 8-1 A-Sun) have already clinched the No. 2 seed for the 2010 Atlantic Sun Tennis Championships, April 15-17 in DeLand, Fla. JU (10-10, 2-7 A-Sun) has finished just outside of making this season's championships at No. 7.
Sophomore Aline Berkenbrock leads the team on the season with an undefeated record, 19-0 at No. 1. Last week, Berkenbrock defeated 119th ranked No. 1 singles player Yevgeniya Stupak of ETSU. Juniors Lauren Holton and Victoria Krook are 16-1 and 18-1, respectively on the season. Holton primarily plays at No. 6 while Krook primarily has seen time at No. 4. Sophomore transfer Danielle Day is 17-2, playing primarily at No. 3 while senior Raquel Castro has tallied a 14-4 marking at No. 2. Freshman Melanie Aguirre is 11-4 on the season at No. 5.
UNF fell, 5-2 to No. 61 ETSU in the team's last outing. In addition to Berkenbrock's win over Stupack at No. 1, Krook secured a point at No. 4 with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 win over Karina Kedzo.
The Dolphins are coming off a 5-2 loss to ETSU. JU was picked to finish fifth in the 2010 Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Dolphins return All-Atlantic Sun first team member Tatiana Soldatove as well as second team honoree, Fernanda Carrero.
Wednesday's match will wrap up the regular season for the Ospreys. They will return to action April 15-17 at the Atlantic Sun Championships hosted by Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
