UNF enters the weekend 12-11 overall and 2-1 in the A-Sun. Earlier in the week, the Ospreys split a pair of games. UNF fell to USF, 10-7, on Tuesday night in Tampa, Fla., before edging Bethune-Cookman, 3-2, on Wednesday in Daytona Beach, Fla.
North Florida opened up conference play by claiming a three-game series against crosstown rival Jacksonville. After dropping the first game of the series, the Ospreys rebounded with a pair of victories to take the series.
UNF leads the all-time series with Campbell, 14-2, including an 8-2 record at Harmon Stadium. The Ospreys have won the last four games against the Camels and 12 of the last 13 in the series. Campbell's last win in the series came on April 5, 2008, as the Camels claimed a 10-4 victory over UNF in Jacksonville.
Campbell enters the weekend 15-7 overall and 3-3 in the Atlantic Sun. The Camels played NC State on Tuesday, March 23, taking a 15-10 victory over the Wolf Pack. The two teams combined for 12 runs off of nine hits over a 52 minute first inning but Campbell took the lead 7-5 at the end of the frame and never looked back.
With the win Campbell has won seven straight non-conference matchups as well as the sixth out of the last seven overall and Campbell has also taken three out of the last four from NC State. The 15-7 record posted by the Fighting Camels this season matches the best 22 game start in school history, matching only the 2001 season that started 15-7.
Campbell opened up A-Sun play on the road dropping 2-of-3 to Mercer, but rebounded to take the series 2-1 at home against Kennesaw State to pull even in the conference.
