
UNF Softball Battles FAMU Saturday

The last time these two teams met was on Feb. 20 when the Ospreys recorded their second win of the season. Junior Caroline Torre jump-started the Ospreys' bats going 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI that helped give the Ospreys a 4-0 advantage.
In the game, the Ospreys scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and another in the fourth with a comfortable 10 hit day that allowed senior Devyn Findley to cruise for seven innings. Findley registered 11 strikeouts and gave up only two hits for her third complete game of the season.
UNF lost their Wednesday night game against UCF, in extra innings after coming back and tying the game in the bottom of the seventh. The Ospreys would lose in the tenth inning but showed their resilience to battle and play well under pressure.
