JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Lady Ospreys got off to a good start in the FSU relays Thursday in Tallahassee, finishing second overall behind Troy.
In the women's heptathlon Christina King, Andrea Bridges and Ashton McGuire proved again and again how talented they are. All three women posted strong results, but the standout performance came from Andrea Bridges, who took second place in the high jump and third in the shot put.
In the 3000m, runners Erin Heasley and Jessica Villemaire took second and third, respectively, coming in just behind UNF track graduate assistant Angela Tecco.
At the end of the first day, the UNF women had 14 points, coming in behind Troy at 23 and in front of the hosting school FSU with 10 points.
