Ospreys to Open Atlantic Sun Schedule at Campbell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's basketball team will open the Atlantic Sun part of the schedule on Friday, Nov. 27, when it travels to Buies Creek, N.C. to face Campbell. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Pope Convocation Center.

The game is part of a double-header with the UNF men facing Campbell following the women's game.

UNF (1-3) is coming off a 75-57 win over Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday at UNF Arena. Senior forward Arlande Cherizol recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Cherizol shot 70 percent (7-of-10) from the field and went 2-of-3 from the line. Senior center Shennette Sheffield added 15 points, while sophomore guard Brittany Kirkland added 11 points.

Kirkland is leading the team on the season with 11.5 points per game. Cherizol is pulling down 8.3 boards per game and junior guard Juliemay Syquio is notching four assists per game.

The Camels (3-1) are led by Geami Britt and Tonisha Baker who are averaging 11.3 points per game each. Ashley Williamson and Amanda O'Neill are tallying 4.8 rebounds per game and Kate Cloxton is dishing out 4.5 assists per game.

UNF will be looking to even the all-time series with Campbell as the Camels currently hold the 4-3 advantage. The two teams split last year with each team winning on their respective home courts. Campbell defeated North Florida 61-38 last season in Buies Creek. Syquio had nine points in the game.
