
UNF duels with Eagles Tuesday

First pitch set for 6 p.m. in Statesboro, Ga.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida baseball team will head to Statesboro, Ga., on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup against regional rival Georgia Southern at 6 p.m.
The game will be a rematch of the classic defensive duel on April 1 that Georgia Southern came out on top of 3-1 in Jacksonville. Sophomore RHP Tucker Pryor led UNF on the mound with a career-high nine strikeouts in 4.1 innings of relief. Senior Chad Knight had three hits, while senior Travis Martin hit a home run.
UNF is coming off a series win over Atlantic Sun Conference rival Stetson over the weekend. The Ospreys claimed 5-2 and 17-10 wins on Friday and Saturday but fell 13-4 on Sunday. Senior T.J. Gaudy went 6-for-11 with two home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored in the series.
The Eagles took two of three from Davidson over the weekend but dropped the last game of the series. GSU is hitting .342 as team, led by Chris Sheehan's .469 batting average. He leads the team in 10 different offensive categories.
