
UNF set for clash with Trojans

Ospreys will play at Troy on Wednesday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida baseball team will continue its midweek swing at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday against non-conference opponent Troy in Troy, Ala.
The Ospreys are coming off a classic 5-4 win over in-state foe FIU on Monday, snapping their four-game losing streak. Junior Antonio Franzese tossed his first career complete game and picked up the win.
Sophomore catcher Michael Gropper sealed the win for UNF when he ended the game by throwing out an FIU base runner trying to steal second base. Senior Chad Knight had three RBIs and a run scored, while sophomore Preston Hale tallied the game-winning triple.
UNF lost 10-6 to Troy in the teams' only meeting, taking place in the 1996 Kennel Club Classic in Jacksonville. The Trojans are on a two-game losing streak, with both the losses coming to No. 1 Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. Troy will play Auburn on Tuesday before clashing with the Ospreys.
