JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida baseball team returns will head to Tampa, Fla., for a non-conference matchup with in-state foe South Florida at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Ospreys have won three in a row and five of their last six. Junior RHP Spencer Jones silenced the bats of Bethune-Cookman on Monday night in Daytona Beach, Fla., pitching a complete game and striking out six while allowing just five hits in UNF's 6-1 win.
UNF won its first conference series of the season over the weekend, taking two of three games from Lipscomb at Harmon Stadium. Sophomore Andrew Hannon went 7-for-11 during the series and knocked in seven runs while scoring five times.
USF swept Savannah State over the weekend after losing to Oklahoma State, Florida Gulf Coast and BCU. Brandon Smith leads with the Bulls with eight RBIs, two home runs and a .333 batting average. USF's probable starter, RHP Derrick Stultz, is 1-2 this season with a 5.40 ERA and 10 strikeouts. The Bulls will play Florida Atlantic on Tuesday before Wednesday's showdown with the Ospreys.
