JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's swimming team continues its trek through the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association this weekend with a double-dual against College of Charleston and Campbell in Charleston, S.C.
UNF is scheduled to begin the day with diving at 9:30 a.m. and will wrap up competition at noon.
The Lady Ospreys lost 141-102 last Saturday to Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Ga. Freshman LynAnn Nelson led the Lady Ospreys with first-place finishes in the 500 and 1000-freestyle. Nelson finished more than 18 seconds ahead of GSU's Meredith Fehr in the 1000 with a time of 10:35.62. In the 500, she was more than five seconds faster than GSU's Ali Campbell, clocking in at 5:08.55.
Junior diver Emily Eisenhower took first place in both 1 and 3-meter diving against the Eagles. Junior Debbie Rapoza was right behind Eisenhower, finishing second in both events. Both Eisenhower and Rapoza have finished No. 1 and 2 in all but one of UNF's duals this season.
C of C is coming off a 139-102 loss to Old Dominion on Jan. 19 and will face off against Florida A&M on Friday before swimming against UNF. The Camels lost meets last Saturday to Davidson and UNC Wilmington.
