UNF heads to Southern Miss for a pair of games

The Lady Ospreys will square off with host Southern Miss in the first round Friday at
UNF will face a tough task in the opening round against a Lady Eagle squad that is 4-0 and is outscoring its opponents by 27 points a game. The Lady Ospreys will carry a little momentum with them into that game after picking up their first win of the season against Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday night. UNF outrebounded the Wildcats 40-25 in the win, while receiving 10 points off the bench from both Juliemay Syquio and Willonda Windham.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (0-4) and Austin Peay (0-2) come into the weekend looking for their first wins of the season. Austin Peay has had the longest layoff of the tournament teams, not playing a game since Nov. 17.
This is the third straight year UNF has traveled to a Thanksgiving weekend tournament.
