Lindsey McKnight, a five-time NCAA Division I All-American swimmer, joined North Florida as its Assistant Coach in June 2022.
McKnight’s career background has sent her up and down the east coast before landing on her next opportunity and first full-time assistant coaching position.
A five-star recruit and top 10 recruit in 2012 per CollegeSwimming.com, McKnight accumulated a staggering 13 state championships and the state record in the 100 breast during high school. A native of Coral Springs, Fla., McKnight attended the highly lauded American Heritage HS before earning a chance to swim at the University of Florida.
At UF she racked up the accolades, including recognition as a five-time all-american and SEC and NCAA qualifier in all four years of competition. McKnight was an Olympic Trials Qualifier for the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics as well.
While in Gainesville, McKnight also earned 2015 Second Team All-SEC recognition, 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll laurels and a spot on the 2013 SEC All-Freshmen Team. She ranks in the top ten in UF’s all-time record books in nine events, including the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 IM, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 200 medley relay.
In 2017, McKnight graduated with her bachelor’s of arts in political science while serving as a contracts assistant with SGI Global. From there she moved to work in Boston before landing on a nearly four-year stint with the KACE Company in Alexandria, Va., as an intelligence analyst supporting the Drug Enforcement Agency.
In January of 2022, McKnight returned to the Sunshine State to work with the state’s attorney’s office in Jacksonville as a crime analyst.
