GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore Rashad Hemissi bested his personal-best time in the Men's 800m to headline the final day of action for North Florida Track and Field at the Pepsi Florida Relays at Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium on Saturday.

"Rashad Hemissi posted a big personal best in a great Men's 800m race," Director of Cross Country/Track and Field Jeff Pigg said. "Ryan Douihech doubled back with a strong Men's 800m after last night's Men's 1500m personal best. Katerina Natsiopoulou recorded a nice personal best time in the Women's 800m, her first sub-2:10, after she doubled back from the 400m Hurdles on Friday. Avaunt Ortiz and Tyrell Pierce posted nice Men's 400m times after doubling back."

Hemissi posted a personal-best time of 1:49.23 in the Men's 800m. It marked his first time under 1:50.00 and he has now posted a personal-best time in two of the three outdoor meets this season.

Junior Katerina Natsiopoulou clocked a personal-best time of 2:09.16 in Women's 800m. It marked the first time that she has eclipsed the 2:10.00 mark in the event. Junior Avaunt Ortiz and graduate student Tyrell Pierce recorded top-five times in their Men's 400m heats.

North Florida returns for a split weekend at Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. on Thursday-Saturday, April 16-18 and Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. on Friday and Saturday, April 16-17.
