O'Brien made her collegiate cross country debut by placing fourth overall in the 5K at the Florida XC Intercollegiate Invitational with a time of 17:57.45, helping the Ospreys to a second-place team finish ... Continued her impressive start by finishing 21st overall with a time of 18:21.1 in the 5K at the Queens City Invite.

O’Brien competed in cross country and track and field at Boca Raton High School … Won the Palm Beach County, district and regional cross country championships as a senior … Finished fourth overall at the 2025 FHSAA Class 4A State Cross Country Championship … Set a high school personal best of 17:21.5 in the 5K while winning the district championship … Earned first-team all-county cross country honors during her career and was named Palm Beach County Girls Fall Athlete of the Year as a senior … Won district championships in both the 1600m and 3200m as a junior … Won the regional championship in the 3200m with a high school personal best of 10:52.82 … Posted a high school personal best of 5:04.16 in the 1600m.
