Fall 2006: Played in four tournaments ... posted a 2-7 singles mark and a 6-4 record in doubles competition ... teamed with Ina Durcakova to advance to the quarterfinals of their flight at the ITA Regional in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Oct. 20-22, eventually falling to Florida State[apos]s Miranda Foley and Carolin Walker, 8-5 ... also had a solid doubles performance at the UNF Invitational in November, teaming with Catalina Castillo to advance to the finals of the A flight before falling 8-6.
High School: Moved to United States in 2000 ... attended two different high schools, including both Western High School, located in Weston, Fla., in ninth grade and Sagemont School for the remaining three years ... graduated from Sagemont in May 2006.
Juniors: Won Colombian U-10 and U-12 state championship each year from 1995-98 ... was U-12 Colombian national champion in 1998 and U-14 national champion in 2000 ... won the COSAT Circuit Bolivia title (G14) in 2000 also ... was ranked 12th in the South American rankings during her career and fourth on South American team tennis standings ... was ranked in the top 20 (U-16 and U-18) in Florida in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 ... participated in numerous prestigious tournaments during her career, including the COSAT Ecuador tournament, Peru tournament, Eddie Herr tournament and Orange Bowl event, in addition to the Miramar Challenger ... named athlete of the year in 1997 by the Cucuta (Colombia) Tennis Club ... began playing competitive tennis when she was nine years old.
