SAND — Member of North Florida’s inaugural conference championship squad... played in one sand match teamming with Kelsey Smith to claim a win over Jacksonville at No. 5 pairs spot.
INDOOR — Played in all 31 matches (109 sets) in freshman campaign... earned Atlantic Sun All-Freshman honors... led team and ranked sixth in the conference in assists with 1,002 (9.19 per set)... ranked third on the team with 21 aces and fifth in digs at 143... collected 25 blocks during the season... handed out a career best 65 assists in UNF victory over rival Jacksonville while also collecting personal best 13 digs... had season best five kills versus ETSU... finished season with a trio of double-double performances... Atlantic Sun Conference Academic Honor Roll member.High School: Played at Catonsville High School… named first team All-District and first team All-County three years (2008, 2009, 2010)… earned first team All-Metro in 2010 and named a Baltimore/Metro Area Player to Watch… played club ball for dad, Greg, and the Columbia Volleyball Club… member of the National Honors Society.
Personal: Majoring in Psychology… daughter of Gregory and Debra Mariarty Giovanazzi… father was a three time volleyball All-American at UCLA and was on the USA national team in 1977, he also served as the first assistant coach of the USA women’s team when it claimed Olympic bronze in 1992 in Barcelona… born October 5, 1993.
