Keunta Miles is in her eighth year as an assistant coach with the University of North Florida women’s basketball program. Miles has worked with the Ospreys’ post players and coordinates film exchange. She is also manages the Ospreys’ recruiting and scouting, assists with the team’s academics and helps student-athletes with admissions and clearinghouse procedures.
 
In her first seven years, Miles has helped with the development of several UNF post players, including 2011 Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Year Larkira Jones, who is UNF’s top shot blocker in program history. During her sophomore campaign, Jones led the A-Sun and was 29th nationally in blocks. A year later, as a junior, Jones set UNF’s career blocking record and is the second player in program history to eclipse 100 blocks.
 
During the 2013-14 academic year, UNF continued with its strong performance in the classroom. In the spring semester, 14 of the 15 Ospreys had at least a 3.0 GPA.
 
Miles came to UNF after wrapping up a four-year playing career at UCF. A former post player for the Knights, Miles led the team with 6.8 rebounds per game as a senior and was second on the team in scoring with 11.7 points per contest. She helped UCF to two Atlantic Sun Regular Season titles and earned spots on both the Atlantic Sun and Conference USA All-Academic Teams. At the end of her career, Miles participated in the WBCA’s So You Want to be a Coach program at the 2007 NCAA Final Four.
 
Miles, who played three years of semi-pro basketball with the Jacksonville Cougars, graduated from UCF in 2007 with a degree in criminal justice. She earned her master’s from UNF in education with a concentration in athletic administration in 2013.
 
In her spare time, Miles likes to spend time with her family, watch movies and read books.
