Freas made his collegiate cross country debut by placing 14th overall in the 5K at the Florida XC Intercollegiate Invitational with a time of 15:09.69, helping the Ospreys to a first-place team finish ... Made his collegiate 8K debut by finishing 28th overall with a time of 25:43.6 at the Queens City Invite.

Freas competed in cross country and track and field for four years at Buchholz High School … Finished fourth in the 4A state championship in the 3200m as a senior … Finished fourth in the 4A state cross country championship and fourth in the 4A state 3200m … Earned three All-American honors as a senior at the 2026 Nike Indoor Nationals as a member of the 4x800m, distance medley and 4xMile relay teams … Helped the 4x1600m relay finish runner-up nationally, while the distance medley relay finished fourth and the 4x800m relay placed sixth … Posted high school bests of 4:17 in the 1600m and 9:07 in the 3200m.
