JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Athletics eclipsed its Giving Day record for total donor court and generated $652,516 behind the support of 1,966 donors for the annual campaign.
"We're incredibly thankful to our Osprey supporters, who once again stepped up to deliver a historic Giving Day," Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Nick Morrow said. "The generosity of a record 1,966 donors is a powerful statement of belief in our pursuit of athletic and academic excellence at the highest level. These record-breaking results have a tremendous impact on the success of our 19 teams and 320 student-athletes. Go Ospreys!"
North Florida Athletics accounted for 34 percent of all donors and 38 percent of total dollars raised. The percentages led all colleges and units during the university-wide 2026 Giving Day, which totaled $1,736,825 from 5,884 donors. The donor count marked the largest in University of North Florida history.
The 1,966 donors represent the highest Giving Day donor count in total department history. The $652,516 raised by North Florida Athletics represented the second-highest Giving Day total in department history. For the second consecutive year, Athletics also achieved 100% staff participation.
The Swoop Impact Fund recorded the largest donor total for the first time with 335 donors, while raising $50,605, the second-highest amount overall. The golf programs led all teams in dollars raised, totaling $57,369 from 255 donors. Cross country and track and field posted the second-highest donor total with 289 donors, raising $26,061.
"Thank you to everyone who helped us make history on Giving Day," Senior Associate A.D. of Development Derek Marinatos added. "Your generosity powered another record-breaking milestone for North Florida Athletics and directly supports our commitment to providing a first-class student-athlete experience."
This year's Giving Day focused on supporting the holistic student-athlete experience, including competition, travel, academics, nutrition, rehabilitation, and some program specific needs and more. Through the efforts of the entire Athletics Development staff and all the individual programs, North Florida Athletics again finished with the most donors and most dollars raised across the entire institution.
