
Beach Volleyball Closes Out Undefeated Slate At DUUUVAL Duals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 17-ranked North Florida Beach Volleyball finished an undefeated slate at the DUUUVAL Duals with a pair of wins against ASUN opponents at The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex on Saturday.Â

North Florida defeated both Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville, 4-1.Â

North Florida earned the win against Eastern Kentucky with victories at the two through five lines. Freshman pair Kamryn McDonald and Samantha Crosby secured a 21-13, 21-14 win at the four line, and sophomore Natalie Villalon and freshman Ally Bunch added a 21-19, 21-16 win at the five line. Senior Andrea Da Silva Encinas and senior Madison Espy clinched the match with a 21-9, 21-13 win at three line. Senior Presley Muray and redshirt junior Sophia Notaro added a 21-14, 21-13 win at the two line to propel North Florida to the eventual final margin.Â

Against Jacksonville, North Florida earned the win with victories at the one through four lines. McDonald and Crosby responded to a first-set loss to win 22-24, 21-15, 15-10 at the four line, while Da Silva Encinas and Espy posted a 21-19, 21-18 win at three line. Junior Cameron Humphries and senior Mackenzie Murphy posted a 21-13, 21-19 win at the two line. Murray and Notaro moved into the one line and posted a 21-15, 21-16 win to propel North Florida to the eventual final margin.Â

North Florida heads to the Stanford Invitational, hosted by No. 1-ranked Stanford, on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 at the Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. Â
