JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior infielder Mathew Farner belted a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to propel North Florida Baseball to a sweep over FGCU, 6-4, in Game 3 of the series at Harmon Stadium on Sunday.

North Florida improves to 5-1 in ASUN Conference play, the best record in the conference through the first two weekends, to lead the Graphite Division.

North Florida stormed back from a 4-1 deficit in the fourth inning with two runs in the sixth, one in the seventh and two in the ninth.

After FGCU led 3-0, redshirt junior utility player Jackson Toberman drove in North Florida's first run of the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the third. Florida Gulf Coast extended its lead to 4-1 in the fourth inning.

Freshman infielder Drew Buchanan delivered a clutch two-RBI single to bring North Florida within one run of FGCU in the bottom of the sixth inning. Redshirt junior utility player Boone Hosey tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning.

After a leadoff single from junior infielder Mitchell Collins, Farner came up in the bottom of the ninth and notched the walk-off homer to secure the series sweep.
